Collins Chew will give a talk on southwest Virginia geology at the library in Independence on Monday, June 1 at 6:30. He has just written a book on our special rocks and that will be the subject of the talk. Collins is a 50-year trail maintainer, trail-guide editor, and the author of four books, including one on the geology of the whole Appalachian Trail.
