TrixBox Made Easy
In my daily activities of call center management, there are many times when years of telephony experience are insufficient reference. TrixBox Made Easy nicely supplements experience.
This is not a gripping read by any stretch of imagination, but the well-organized content is a wealth of guidance for configuring our Asterisk-based PBX. Searching for trunk configurations, optimal codecs, and soft features is facilitated by an intelligently considered index.
Fictional implementations provide humorous examples from which real configurations are easily realized. Remembering the fun of duplication has, more than once, made repeating a configuration easier than returning to the guide for refreshed lessons.
On less stellar note, the collection of VoIP terminology is a nice touch but of little benefit, and more developmental history would have provoked some deliberation.
All considered, this publication is worthy placement in easy reach of VoIP technical talent.
