Jerusalem United Methodist Church is located in the Fallville community of Grayson County. It is one of the five churches of the Spring Valley Circuit of the Wytheville District of the Holston Conference. According to the sign posted on the church lawn, the church was established in 1838. On April 6, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., Jerusalem church family and friends will gather in their sanctuary on Jerusalem Road to celebrate their 170th anniversary.
Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy is the current pastor of the church. The District Superintendent of the Wytheville District, Rev. Dr. Charles Starks, will be present to introduce the presiding Bishop of the Holston Conference, Bishop James Swanson, Sr. There is much excitement leading up to this historic day when this bishop, known far and wide by his powerful preaching, will proclaim God’s word from Jerusalem’s pulpit. Following the service there will be a covered-dish dinner served in the community building. All who wish to celebrate with Jerusalem's congregation are welcome.
