The content is all about the owner of the website not the people implementing it. In this case, Rob Varley has written dozens of articles about the economics of international development. His portfolio is best rendered, in large part, as a bibliography. His interests are best served when individual citations can be downloaded and incorporated into new articles. The greater the number of references, the better search position. Better search position leads to more retainer possibilities at better rates.

So how did we do it?

We started with Ubuntu Linux - Apache - MySQL - PHP on a high bandwidth server. We added Drupal as the content management system to which we added the module biblio. Then we ported documents and added them to the bibliography. Simple actually even if a bit of ditch digging is involved
