The Conservatory of Dance & Theatre in downtown Galax is offering a 1920's dance workshop Saturday, February 7 from 4:00-5:30pm. The workshop is great exercise and lots of fun for men women, boys and girls. No partner is necessary. Instructor is dancer/actress Linda Donnell. Cost is $25 for an individual, $35 per couple. Space is limited. Longarberger Basket Bingo Independence Elementary School Friday, February 20th, 2009 Doors open at 5:30 PM and Games begin @ 6:30 PM 20 Games of Bingo and door prizes Concessions available: Pizza, baked goods, and drinks Raffle Prize: Longaberger Hamper with Lid, Liner and Protector Chances $1.00 each A Brain Injury Support Group is Forming This is for anyone who has any type of brain injury including stroke patients, brain injuries, or brain tumors. Professional tester Bonnie Munger of Piedmont Education Services (Pfafftown NC) will administer the nationally-standardized test, Woodcock-Johnson III, for any homeschooler grades K-12 on Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Galax Public Library from 9:00am-5:00pm.
