Persian Cat Rescue

"Ear"resistible Animal Rescue was contacted by Social Services this past Monday. A woman had been taken to the hospital (not expected to live) and she had 14 cats that needed care. If we did not step in, they would call Animal Control (where they would be euthanized immediately). So I went to take a look, to see if there was anything that could be done.

• (8) of these cats are purebred Persian or Himalayan (I do not know enough about the breeds to tell them apart)
• (2) of the cats are Siamese.
• (3) are black & orange (tortoisehell I believe they call it); 2 of these are kittens

Apparently, this woman was a breeder of the high-priced Persian cats & had been for a while.  She had been ill for quite some time, and it looked as though she had been unable to care for her cats as well as herself.  She has no family except one cousin in Pennsylvania.

These cats were in horrible condition; poop all over their crates, their fur matted. The cats were all in crates or carriers. They are terribly depressed & lethargic. Their crates were covered in blankets so they had been in the dark for who knows how long. They had no water nor food. After we got their living quarters cleaned up a bit, I took some photos.

All of these guys are very sweet, but I believe will take a bit of care & patience for them to come around. They know nothing but the crates they live in. They will all need to be spayed or neutered & probably shaved by a groomer.

At this time I do not know which ones are males or females. I am also not sure if all of them will survive.
So after all that explanation this is what I need:
 
I need financial help to get these guys vetted, groomed, fed; and

These cats need HOMES!!!!!!
